1. Enrolment, Fees & Payments

1.1 Fees

Fees are billed termly and include:
- One-time registration fee (new students only)
- Materials fee (if applicable)
Initial term fees are pro-rated based on the student’s start date and remaining lessons.
All fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
There will be no refund for missed classes (see Section 3: Make-Up Classes).

1.2 Deposit (Effective from January 2026)

A refundable deposit equivalent to four (4) lessons (one month of fees) is payable upon registration.
The deposit is collected to:
- ensure we can organise classes and resources effectively by knowing enrolments in time.
- ensure a one month’s notice before withdrawal, allowing smooth class arrangements.

1.3 Refund & Conditions

The deposit will be refunded in full when:
1. a minimum one-month notice is submitted through the Parent Portal prior to the final lesson, and
2. all outstanding fees are cleared.
The deposit is non-transferable and cannot be used to offset any other fees.

1.4 Continuation to the Following Year

If your child continues lessons in the following year, the deposit will be carried forward.
If programme fees change, the difference will be reimbursed or topped up accordingly.

2. Withdrawal Policy

A withdrawal notice must be submitted through the Parent Portal at least one month prior to the final lesson.
Deposits will be refunded in accordance with Section 1.2 upon processing the withdrawal.
Re-enrolling after withdrawal will be treated as a new registration, and registration fees will apply.

3. Make-Up Classes

If a student misses a scheduled class, தமிழ் CLASS may allow a make-up class, subject to:
1. the suitability of the class for the student
2. availability of the chosen time slot
3. at least one day’s notice before the make-up session
Make-up classes should be completed within the same term to maintain learning continuity.
Up to two (2) absences per term may be used to offset fees (subject to approval).

4. Learning Materials & Intellectual Property

All teaching resources remain the intellectual property of தமிழ் CLASS.
Materials may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written permission.
Recording or filming of classes, teachers, or students is strictly prohibited without prior consent.

4.1 Media & Publicity Consent

By enrolling, parents and students grant தமிழ் CLASS permission to use photos, videos, or recordings taken during classes for educational and promotional purposes.
தமிழ் CLASS may publish students’ achievements, artwork, or testimonials in print or online.

5. Communication & Data Protection

5.1 Official Communication

Official updates will be shared via the Parent Portal and/or email.
Parents are responsible for updating their contact details on the Parent Portal or via email.
தமிழ் CLASS reserves the right to:
- adjust fees, class schedules, or class sizes
- assign or change teachers, and
- merge or close classes as necessary.

5.2 Personal Data Protection

By enrolling, parents and students consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data in accordance with the PDPA.
Personal data will not be shared with external vendors without consent.

5.3 Parent–Teacher Communication

Class-related updates, photos, and videos will be shared via the Parent Portal.
All members are expected to communicate respectfully.
Any verbal abuse or personal attacks within such platforms will result in immediate removal and/or being blocked from the group.

6. Photography, Filming & Media Use

Students and parents may be photographed or filmed during classes, workshops, or events.
These images may appear in centre publications, websites, and social media.
தமிழ் CLASS will always use media sensitively and appropriately.

7. Student Behaviour & Conduct

7.1 Behaviour Expectations

தமிழ் CLASS strives to maintain a respectful, safe, and positive learning environment.
Any individual who is physically or verbally abusive towards staff, parents, or students will be asked to leave immediately.
The police may be contacted if necessary.

7.2 Classroom Behaviour

Our aim is to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
If a student is repeatedly disruptive, affecting others’ learning, or compromising their own safety or that of others:
- Parents or guardians will be informed promptly.
- A meeting may be arranged with the teacher and/or centre management to discuss strategies for improvement.
- Age-appropriate interventions will be considered first (e.g., guidance, time-out, or support plans for younger children).
- Continued disruptive and unsafe behaviour, despite support, may result in temporary removal from class or, in rare cases, expulsion. Fees will not be refunded in such cases.

7.3 Damage & Liability

Parents/guardians are responsible for any willful or negligent damage caused by their child to property, equipment, or materials.
Minor accidental damage will be discussed with parents and handled appropriately and reasonably.
Significant or deliberate damage may result in forfeiture of the deposit, and the centre reserves the right to recover costs exceeding the deposit.

8. Safety, Liability & General Conditions

தமிழ் CLASS takes reasonable safety precautions but is not liable for:
- Personal injury
- Loss or damage to property
- Incidents occurring near or within the centre premises
The Centre is not responsible for disruptions caused by unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, fire, strikes).
தமிழ் CLASS reserves the right to decline or discontinue enrolment where necessary to protect the well-being of its community.
Terms & Conditions may be amended without prior notice; the latest version will be available on the website.
